Learning Through Play in Your Child's Early Years

I am sure you will enjoy your visit to our website.

Little Rainbows is a community interest company, run by the staff, with a strong emphasis on learning through play.

The pre-school is now run by a  community interest company and has been offering places to local children for over 40 years.

We currently offer 52 places to children aged from two to five years, from 9am until 3pm. Our sessions run five days week from 9.00am until 12.00 pm, the afternoon session runs from 12.00pm until 3.00pm, every afternoon session includes time for a packed lunch, and if you wish your child will be able to attend from 9.00am until 3.00pm.

Milk or water is provided by the Pre-school every day, we ask parents to provide a fruit snack and a packed lunch for the afternoon session.

In June 2006 we gained our Quality Assurance accreditation which has gained us Investor in Children status and have been awarded the Healthy Pre-school award every year since 2004.

We have received the South Gloucestershire Council Early Years Capital Grant for Outdoors and have landscaped and equiped the garden with a jungle theme.  A Lottery Grant has enabled the new Activities Room/Dining Room and the Classroom to be completely revamped and equiped.

We are OFSTED registered, our latest inspection report can be found in the documents section.

All children aged three years old or over are entitled to receive the Nursery Education Grant for 38 weeks per year.  Parents may use the grant for five sessions per week in any combination that suits them.  For children who are too young to receive the grant or for those parents who wish their child to receive extra sessions our current fees are 8.50 per session, including the lunchtime in the afternoon session, payable termly in advance.
